“Letting go” of control can be one of the hardest things for many of us.  Especially when our need to control affects both our personal and professional lives.  It’s too bad that our plans don’t always go as we planned.  You have to learn to make adjustments and “let go!” when this happens.

Here are some wise words of advice that will help you learn how to “let go” and thrive:

“Some people believe holding on and hanging in there
are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes
much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.”
– Ann Landers

Expect the unexpected, and anticipate that things may veer off course. By doing this, you may even learn something new that changes your direction positively.

“One of the hardest things in life to learn
are which bridges to cross and which bridges to burn. ”
– Oprah Winfrey

We can’t control what other people do. We can only control who we choose to trust. We can never guarantee a specific outcome. We can only do our best to align ourselves with people we believe to be dependable and competent.

“Control is never achieved when sought after directly.
It is the surprising consequence of letting go.”
– James Arthur Ray

Change your mindset immediately, and view each “curve ball” as an opportunity. Every unexpected challenge that you embrace with a positive attitude will strengthen your ability to control your day and will lead to a more positive experience for all involved.
