The more informed your customers become, the more they will appreciate your value as the expert.

Invite your customer to meet you for coffee or schedule a specific time to sit and talk on their turf. This meeting needs to be a “no-sales-zone” time together, and your objective must be to learn more about their world. Customers like to be noticed for more than their wallet, and they will value that you took the initiative to ask them.
Share Your Respect With Your Customers
Once you know more about what your customer offers, it is time to think about “sharing the respect” by sending referrals and your own personal business their way. Look for opportunities to refer them to others that you work with or are connected to through networking organizations. If you have been on the receiving end of a great service or a superior product, take the time to write a review or a testimonial for use in their marketing materials.
